About the Allen & Heath iLive

iLive, from 2006, was Allen & Heath's first digital system and established the split-surface-and-MixRack architecture the company still uses. It is long discontinued, and its downloads have thinned out on the manufacturer's site — the strongest possible argument for an independent archive.

How Allen & Heath ships firmware

Allen & Heath firmware updates ship per family rather than per model, so an SQ-5, SQ-6 and SQ-7 all take the same release. Downgrading is sometimes necessary when a show file was built on an older version, which is why every archived version stays available here.

Verifying what you download

Every Allen & Heath iLive file in this archive lists the SHA-256 checksum recorded the moment we mirrored it, plus a link to the original Allen & Heath source URL. Before loading firmware onto a console, run shasum -a 256 <file> (macOS/Linux) or certutil -hashfile <file> SHA256 (Windows) and compare it to the value in the table above. If they differ, do not load the file. More on how this archive verifies files →
