About the Allen & Heath CQ

CQ, introduced in 2023, is Allen & Heath's ultra-compact line: the CQ-12T, CQ-18T and CQ-20B are small enough to be carried in one hand and are aimed at solo operators, small venues and house-of-worship rigs. They are controlled from the on-board screen or the CQ-MixPad app, and firmware is loaded from a USB drive.

How Allen & Heath ships firmware

Allen & Heath firmware updates ship per family rather than per model, so an SQ-5, SQ-6 and SQ-7 all take the same release. Downgrading is sometimes necessary when a show file was built on an older version, which is why every archived version stays available here.

Verifying what you download

Every Allen & Heath CQ-18 file in this archive lists the SHA-256 checksum recorded the moment we mirrored it, plus a link to the original Allen & Heath source URL. Before loading firmware onto a console, run shasum -a 256 <file> (macOS/Linux) or certutil -hashfile <file> SHA256 (Windows) and compare it to the value in the table above.
