Trust & Integrity
How we verify every file, and how you can too.
Provenance
Every firmware file in this archive was downloaded directly from the manufacturer's official website or authorised distribution channel. We record the original source URL and the date it was fetched. These are displayed on every model page alongside the download link.
SHA-256 Checksums
Each file is hashed with SHA-256 immediately after download. The hash is stored in our database and displayed on the model page in a copyable field. You can verify a download yourself:
- macOS / Linux:
shasum -a 256 firmware.bin - Windows (PowerShell):
Get-FileHash firmware.bin -Algorithm SHA256
If the hash you compute does not match what is shown on the page, do not use the file — contact us immediately at firmware@mixerfirmware.com.
What we do NOT do
- We do not modify firmware files in any way.
- We do not repackage, rename, or inject anything into downloaded files.
- We do not accept third-party file submissions without independent verification.
- We do not collect any personal information from visitors.
Transparency
The machine-readable JSON API at /api/v1/mixers.json lists every archived model with its latest version and checksum. Mixing Station Anywhere consumes this API to provide automatic firmware detection and upgrade for supported mixers.
File availability
If a manufacturer requests removal of a file (see Takedown Policy), we will remove it promptly and note the removal. The metadata (version number, checksum, source URL) is retained for audit purposes, but the binary file is deleted from our servers.
